Circular butterfly diagram -
The diagram below depicts the circulation of materials, nutrients, components, and products, integrating an additional layer that reflects the corresponding financial value.
After analyzing both the Ellen MacArthur principles and the butterfly diagram, the Foundation determined that transitioning away from the prevailing “take–make–waste” linear model in the fashion industry requires prioritizing three key areas: critical minerals, plastics, and retail.

To underscore the severity of global overconsumption, the editorial highlights these key focus areas, presenting them as an educational resource for individuals seeking to make meaningful changes in their own lives.
3. Magazine Recreation
To emulate the BAZAAR magazine aesthetic, I used Canva to match fonts and replicate the magazine’s sizing and layout dimensions through side-by-side comparisons. I then incorporated and manipulated an Iris van Herpen design to establish a direct connection to the fashion industry, as her work consistently embodies innovative and sustainable design practices.
